
Our Club
Founded in 2011, the Pevensey Bay model railway club started with 6 members and no layouts. We now have over 30 members and three club layouts currently being worked on!


Based in Pevensey Bay, the club meets every Monday night from 18.30 – 21:30 at the Ethel Wood Community Centre, Pevensey Bay. BN24 6NS.

A new underground layout in N gauge has now been started in the last few weeks, if you are interested in how to build a small layout from scratch, baseboard, wiring and construction come along and join us
we will in the very near future starting a new 00 gauge layout, converting a layout donated to us, making it smaller and it will be end to end running layout in DCC.
We have been running in the last few weeks a workshop, every Monday evening 6.30 to 7.30 we have covered using a multimeter, running DC or DCC, fuses and what they are there for with Electrical safety being mentioned each week. in the next few weeks we will be making scenery, fences, trees etc also how to fit DCC chips.

Our layouts

Pevensey Beach
A OO gauge layout based on a fictional station in Pevensey Bay imagining if the Pevensey area had become as populated as Eastbourne. The Original Layout is being replaced due to damp and being over 14 years old, new layout bases/tables have now been constructed, track is now being laid.

Ohlstadt
A continental N gauge layout based around the German/Swiss border. updated photo as of 30 October 2025

Murrel Park
An award winning N gauge layout based in the UK. we are still displaying this layout at Local Exhibition, an additional layout has been added showing a lake with camp site, with train coming from main layout.
